Grace Church in Salem
Education & Formation
At Grace Church, formation occurs in community and is a lifelong process where one grows in the knowledge, service, and love of God that shapes you into the person God created you to be.
Young and the Restless Chapel:
This monthly service which meets the second Sunday at 9:00 am, engages infants and toddlers in formation from birth. Using elements from Godly Play and Music Together, participants rock, sing, and move to the stories of faith. The service concludes with communion.

Church School:
Each Sunday, all year long, children 3 and older meet from 10:00 am until 10:30 for Church School. Here they engage with stories from Scripture, learn about the sacraments, and work together to build a community of faith. They join those worshiping in the church at the time of the Peace.
Bible Study:
Each Wednesday evening at 5:00 pm, people may gather via Zoom to share how God is encountered in the following Sunday's readings. No previous experience or knowledge of Scripture is necessary, just an open heart and an listening ear. The Zoom link is here.
Retreats and Other Studies:
Throughout the year, Grace Church offers one day or half day retreats. These have allowed those who wish to deepen or explore their faith to take time apart for this endeavor. During these retreats, people have discovered new ways of thinking about creation care, stewardship, anti-racism, discipleship, and story telling.

During Advent and Lent, people may join in a variety of weekly topics. In the past these topics have included The Episcopal Church program, "The Way of Love," a study of Black poets, The Book of Common Prayer and hymnals, Celtic Spirituality, and book studies.

All retreats and other events welcome all to attend and share your expriences and questions. They will be posted on this website as they are announced.
