Church School

Our Understanding of Children and the Parish Family

Spiritual development begins at birth. Grace Church is committed to supporting children in their spiritual development by providing a safe and caring parish, liturgies that stimulate and draw us nearer to God, and educational programs especially designed for children.

You do not need to be a member of any church to have your child participate, in fact the only requirement is a willingness to be part of your child's religious life.

Church School - Sundays at 10:30 am will resume when it is safe to do so

The Church School meets Sundays at 10:30 am. Using the Godly Play curriculum, children aged 3 through 2nd grade study the major stories from the Old Testament and the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as well as his parables of the Gospels. Students in grades 2 through 5 use the Episcopal curriculum Weavings and study Scripture as well as the tradition of the Episcopal Church, especially the Book of Common Prayer.

The Summer Program: Please come when it is safe to do so

Grace Church's program runs year round. During the summer months, the students learn to be thankful for the bounty that God has provided in Creation by studying The Abundant Life Garden Project, an interactive, Scripture-based children's curriculum offered to parishes who seek to share the ministry and work of Episcopal Relief and Development. This program invites children to participate in their mission by exploring five thematic modules on Water, Seeds, Soil, Animals and Harvest. During the summer, the children grow vegetables which they harvest and give to St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Beverly, MA for their feeding program. This collaborative endeavor has enriched the spiritual formation of our younger members while encouraging servanthood.
