Spiritual development begins at birth. Grace Church is committed to supporting children in their spiritual development by providing a safe and caring parish, liturgies that stimulate and draw us nearer to God, and educational programs especially designed for children.
You do not need to be a member of any church to have your child participate, in fact the only requirement is a willingness to be part of your child's religious life.
The Church School meets Sundays at 10:30 am. Using the Godly Play curriculum, children aged 3 through 1st grade study the major stories from the Old Testament and the parables of the Gospels. Students in grades 2 through 5 are currently learning to be thankful for the bounty that God has provided in Creation by studying The Abundant Life Garden Project, an interactive, Scripture-based children's curriculum offered to parishes who seek to share the ministry and work of Episcopal Relief and Development. This program invites children to participate in their mission by exploring five thematic modules on Water, Seeds, Soil, Animals and Harvest.
“The Young and the Restless Chapel” is a monthly service for infants and toddlers too young for Church School, and their parents. This half hour service, beginning at 9:00 am on the second Sunday of the month, features songs with Teresa Ines, a well-known folk musician and teacher, and an abbreviated communion service for all, celebrated by Debbie Phillips.

The Choir School opened in January 2007 and meets each Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:15 pm. Young people beginning with grade 2 are provided a quality music education which includes singing, sight-reading, handbells, and drumming. The school is directed by Mark Engelhardt and an audition is required. The Rector also participates in the program. The students not only learn how to become skilled choristers, but they learn about the liturgy, especially traditional Choral Evensong. The Trebles of the Choir School at Grace Church sing Evensong on the first Wednesday of each month October through May, and participate in Choir Festivals and concerts through the year. Tuition is $125 per academic semester, and scholarships are available.
